🔒 Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Spiritual Growth Garden (the "App") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information. Please read it carefully before using the App.

👤 1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account info: When you use Sign in with Apple, Apple shares your name and email with us. You may use Apple's Hide My Email private relay.
• Assessment answers: Your selected options across the Spiritual Health, Fruits, and Roots assessments.
• Device-local data (Guest mode only): Your assessment results and Bible notes are written to the app's Documents directory and never uploaded.

We do NOT collect: location, contacts, photos, address book, health data, microphone audio, or the advertising identifier (IDFA). We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

⚙️ 2. How We Use This Information

All data is used solely to deliver app functionality: generating your assessment analysis, recommending daily verses, saving your reading progress, and improving service reliability.

We will not use your information for advertising, profile reselling, or any form of cross-platform tracking.

☁️ 3. Where Your Data Is Stored

• Servers: Google Cloud Run and Cloud SQL, hosted in the United States (us-central1). All transit uses TLS 1.2+; databases are encrypted at rest.
• Device-local: In Guest mode, assessment data is stored only on your device and disappears completely if you delete the app.

🤝 4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following infrastructure providers and pass them only the functional data needed:

• Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL): hosting and database.
• Apple (Sign in with Apple): authentication only.

These are not tracking services. We do not integrate any third-party analytics, ad networks, or social SDKs.

⚖️ 5. Your Rights & Controls

You have the right to:

• Access: view your account info inside the Settings screen.
• Correction: update your name/email via Edit Profile.
• Deletion: permanently delete your account and all related data via Settings → Delete Account. Deletion takes effect immediately and is irreversible.
• Withdraw consent: stop using the app or delete your account at any time.
• Data portability (GDPR jurisdictions): email spiritualgrowthgarden@gmail.com to request a data export.

🎗️ 6. Sensitive Personal Data (GDPR Art. 9)

Your answers about religious or spiritual life provided during assessments are classified as "special category personal data" under Article 9 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We process this data solely on the legal basis of your explicit consent (which you give by voluntarily starting an assessment), and only to generate your personalized spiritual analysis.

You may withdraw consent at any time via Delete Account. Upon withdrawal, all related data is permanently erased.

👶 7. Children's Privacy

This App is not directed at children under 13 (where COPPA applies), or any higher minimum age set by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us personal information, please contact spiritualgrowthgarden@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

🗑️ 8. Data Retention

Your account data is retained until you actively delete your account or request deletion. Once a deletion request is executed, data is immediately purged from production databases; backup copies are overwritten within 30 days.

📣 9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Policy, we will display a prominent in-app notice and update the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after the change date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
